Conversion Coatings
Our automated machine and hand lines provide: Iridite NCP, Surtec 650 and Surtec 650V conversion coatings.

Iridite NCP and Surtec 650 both produce a colourless finish. Iridite NCP leaves parts with a silver appearance, whereas Surtec 650 leaves a blue hue.
Surtec 650V produces colourful and visible layers which are blue-grey iridescent.

Each coating exhibits corrosion resistance that is equal to hexavalent chromates even though they do not contain hexavalent.

Iridite NCP is a chrome-free passivation process suitable for components made of aluminium alloys. It provides an excellent level of corrosion resistance and acts as a base coat for paint and powder applications.
